European Solidarity Corps: Volunteering for Care and Compassion

The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative that aims to promote the active participation of young people in public life through volunteering. Within the framework of the program, young people from different countries have the opportunity to get involved in social, educational and humanitarian initiatives, contributing to the development of communities.

One of the important components of the program is volunteering, through which participants gain new experience, develop professional and communication skills, as well as get acquainted with different cultures and work environments. Within the framework of this program, volunteers have also been working for years at the “Muratsan” University Hospital Complex of Yerevan State Medical University. Here, they support the medical staff, and are involved in various initiatives, especially in social and psychological support work with children.

The presence of volunteers contributes to the formation of a warmer and more human-centered atmosphere in the hospital environment, making the daily life of young patients brighter and more interesting.

This initiative is not only a useful experience for young people, but also an important contribution to the life of the hospital community, creating an environment of solidarity, care, and cooperation.
