The 13th South-East European Conference on Cystic Fibrosis kicked off in Tbilisi on March 5.
Doctors from the University Referral Center for Cystic Fibrosis and the “Muratsan” University Hospital Complex are also participating in the conference.
Physiotherapy occupies a special place among the topics discussed at the conference.
Today, the University Center is the coordinator of the European Patient Registry, where 35 patients, children aged 0–18, are monitored.
The cornerstone diagnostic tests for cystic fibrosis are the fecal elastase-1 test and the sweat test. Nelli Gasparyan, Head of the Laboratory Service at the “Muratsan” Hospital, is also participating in the event.
